Spring breeze flows across me

By the river on the sun-dappled plaza

On the bench coffee in my hand

Close my eyes and savor the wind’s caress

People strolling by that I can hear talking

Water taxi engine noise burbles along

Bass notes reverberate from a car bumping

Along the cobble-stoned street behind me

The softness of the gentle breeze lulls me to doze off
